"Allin Meets Robinson Crusoe" was written, (in a loose sense of the word as most of it was made on the spot at each rehearsal), by the group. Based on two stories, Aladdin and Robinson Crusoe, the show was performed at The Manor, the Medway Centre in Huntingdon, and the Burgess Theatre in St. Ives.

Why "Allin" you may ask? Well, it all stems from one of the leading lights of the group, Julia Mason, asked via her computerised voice machine for someone to get her a video of Allin. After long and fruitless efforts trying to find this video, Julia was asked to describe the film, which eventually turned out to Aladdin!

The Plot

The action starts on the island of Antigay (sic) where Mrs. Starch, who runs the local launderette with her son, Allin and his friend Allout, is pursued in love by the mean Dan-Dan the tax man.

Unfortunately for the islanders, Allin is not very good at returning the right clothes to the right people. The mayor ends up with a very large bra and a pair of bloomers. To seek revenge, the islanders tell Dan-Dan that Allin has been illegally growing bananas, an offence since wicked Uncle Eba-knees-up took over the island and banana export rights due to the disappearance of Allin's step-brother Robinson Crusoe. Faced with heavy tax bill, Allin decides to go with his friend Allout to try and find the lost Robinson.

Down at the harbour, Uncle Ebakneesup surprisingly rents a boat out to Allin cheaply. Mrs. Starch, being chased by Dan-Dan, manages to get aboard the boat as it is leaving and waves goodbye to Dan-Dan.

Half way out to sea, the three find out why Ebakneesup had rented the boat out cheap as boat slowly sinks to the bottom of the sea. Fortunately, the trio end up in a mystical land under the sea where they are greeted by a talking fish. Also there, a merman takes a shining to Mrs. Starch. "What is it?" asks Allin. "I don't know," replies Mrs. Starch, "but he must be related to an octopus. He seems to have hands everywhere." Meanwhile, Allout spots an old lamp on the sea-bed and decides to give it a clean by rubbing it. Up pops Genie Jeannie and whisks the trio off to Robinson's desert island.

After finding Robinson and his three wives, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, everyone flies back to Antigay. In true panto style, Robinson reclaims the island, Mrs. Starch decides to marry Dan-Dan, and Ebakneesup marries Jeannie.
